Let me start by saying that I think that it would be nice if people would buy their sensors from rokktech as they came up with the idea to modify this as a mild performance enhancement and I believe we should encourage innovation and reward it.

I'm posting these in the hopes that they can be helpful or interesting to others. I'm not trying to suggest anyone modify their sensor on their own but rather after seeing the sensor, they'll buy one from rokketch if they want one.

End of soapbox.

Here are some pictures and scans. They're self explanatory. Some of them are large pictures. When I get within 1 foot using my 6 year old 1. 3 megapixel non-zoom digital camera, everything is blurry. My digital camera sucks so I actually had become innovative to use my handy-dandy scanner.

I suggest saving them to your hard drive by right-clicking on the links and selecting save as and then put them on your computer somewhere you can find them.

Enjoy!

Go buy one! You'll enjoy it!

OH -- I almost forgot the most interesting part!

See the shaved edge of the OEM unit? Picture rokktech5.jpg at the top right. That was damaged (and supposidly still functioning) like that when I removed it. After 4 days it just dawned on me why it was damaged. I lost 2 serpentine belts after taking delivery of the truck. The first at 700 miles and the 2nd at 1200 miles.

What would happen is the belt would jump off the pully the distance of one of it's ribs. It would then shave off that much of the belt but the belt would still work. By the time I got down to 2/3 of a belt, I'd seen shredded pieces here and there. But what I didn't realize was that the belt was jumping down at the crankshaft pully. This would make it rub on the sensor and wear it away. Technically, I guess DC owes me a new sensor!!!
