So while doing my kdp this weekend I put the crank seal in backwards. I was being very careful following instructions, replaced waterpump, cerpentine belt, cleaned everything up etc. I messed up on the seal. I was going off instructions that said yellow out, black in. My seal was yellow and white so I put it in yellow out. OOPS. I have drove the truck and haven't noticed any leaks.

SOOOO... What damage will this due? Just a small leak? I am planning on taking it out and doing it right, just curious if I can drive the truck in the meantime?

IMO, I don't think it will do any direct damage (As long as you don't run it out of OIL!) but I suspect (Depending on how much crankcase pressure you have?) after a few hot/cold cycles on it, the oil will start blowing out. It will probably get pretty messy esp. at higher (65-70) speeds.
Good Luck, Ray
