My brother has a 98. 5 CTD with 4" straight pipe, smarty, rv275 & recently had some problems with a 0253 code which turns out to only set when below 30*. Truck still runs great, but code will set. Now for some crazy stuff... . last night the alarm started going off at 11:00pm for no reason & last few days the seatbelt light will come on while driving for 10-15 minutes then go away. The truck has a switch under the dash on/off that disables the engine... . also a cool down timer. Everything works, but kinda making me think the problems are gadget related somehow. Any ideas? Bad pcm, ground, connection? Please help!
