Creaking Accelerator Pedal?

My accelerator pedal has started creaking like an old hardwood floor. It's driving me nuts. Has anyone else experienced this? Anyone have a fix?



I should probably not try and push it through the floorboard on a regular basis...

Yep, mine does it too. I haven't gotten around to trying to fix it. I think it's the spring on the backside of the pedal (I'm pretty sure there's a spring that keep the pedal from flopping around). I'm thinking a shot of some lube or grease might clear it all up.

Mine went through a spell of that and fixed itself before I got around to it. It was REAL annoyin' while it lasted, though. I'll be watchin' for solutions in case it comes back around.

Mine just started to do it. If I can remember when I have the time, I'm going to crawl under the dash w/ a can of spray lube & hit all of the moving points on the petal I can find.

I've tried spray lube all over the back of the pedal. So far that hasn't helped. It's been about a week since I tried that.



I might try disassembley.
