A customer of mine is working on a 95 2500 Diesel that under light brake pedal pressure the pedal goes to the floor, but never loses any fluid. The owner put two master cylinders on, but the problem cotinued. My customer started from scratch, replaced a leaking rear wheel cylinder, rebuilt the front calipers, replaced the front & rear hoses, bled the system, but the problem continued. He then replaced the master cylinder with a new one, but to no avail. He then started going through everything again & found if he blocks off fluid to the right front caliper the problem disappears. He tried blocking fluid to the other wheels, but the problem continued. Being a fairly simple system, he is lost as to what to do next.

Never mind that he just rebuilt the calipers. The fact that the problem vanishes when he blocks fluid flow to the right-front brake very strongly suggests that the problem is in that caliper.

It's a bother, but he should dismantle that caliper again and triple-check it. If it checks out OK, then the problem must be between that caliper and where he blocked off the flow. Does he have 4-wheel antilock? There *could* be a problem in that system.

Replace the Equalizer Valve. That's the Aluminum block that the lines that come off the Master Cly. go into and then to the front and rear brakes.
