Well I figure its time to give the old crew cab a face lift, Monday it will go in for a complete paint job and have the little dents & dings fixed. I am also getting some stainless steel Nerf bars installed and a custom front bumper made. I will also be tracking down some OEM 91-93 wheel trim. By the way the color is going to be "1997 Brilliant Blue" which is a PPG clear coat metallic paint. I am also having the bottom painted with a rubberized coating to protect against chips. Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

Would like to see some pictures of the bumper when finished? Have you thought about aluminum?

One $. 02 thought. . . .

Just refinished the wife's 4x4 - if you spend a lot of time in the woods have them adjust the clear coat hardness / mix accordingly to counter the tree branches, etc.

Good Luck. Can't wait to see the pictures!!

nerf bars

Kyle,

Let me know where you get the nerf bars- I'd like some for my 92 crew cab. I painted mine with Imron 2 summers ago and am very happy. The materials alone were $950. I can email you a photo if you want. I removed that plastic wheel trim when I painted because I thought it was crap, but I think I tossed it. I'll look and let you know.
