Crome peeling off wheel cover

We had a little snow and ice here last weekend and this week I notice the crome peeling off of one of the wheel covers on the rear of my dually.



What could cause this?



It looks like something scratched through the chrome and then peeled it like a sticker - leaving it hanging on - in many locations around the wheel.



Am I not supposed to drive in snow?



Anyone have wheel covers for sale?

Better than that, you have a warranty! Use it, if you believe the covers were faulty.
