Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
Could we have a forum where cross platform/generation issues could be discussed?
I had a fellow TDR member call me today that drove a brand new Cummins/Dodge and wanted to know about an odd noise coming out of the transmission.
All of the manual transmission trucks I have ever seen/driven have done this... . At low vehicle speeds and low engine RPM in 2nd or 3rd gear... you get a growl or a chatter out of the transmission/clutch... .
I've never actually known what this is or what causes it... but it's an example of something that could happen to EVERY manual transmission Cummins/Dodge. My '98 does it and I've never really worried about it because they ALL do it...
Another example was my recent overload spring noise issue - if the issue was more important... it could have used a little more exposure to those folks that only read 'inside of their generation'... . first gen guys only read the first gen forum and so on... .
