My Father, Brother, and I are all TDR members and owners. My father has a 1996 ram 2500 2WD. and he needs anyones help that is savvy with these issues he is having. he cant use his cruise control as from what i know he is having vacuum issues. if you know whats going on and need to explain it to him can you please private message me and i can give you his number. it would be MUCH appreciated.

First place to look is under the pass. side battery. Over time the battery will corrode the canister and eat holes in the vacuum lines. Then check the vacuum lines back to the vacuum pump, check how much vacuum your pump is pulling.

Floyd is right if it is only a cruise issue. Other vacuum issues might indicate oil contamination from the vacuum pump. Are all of the HVAC functions working properly?
 
i will have to get with my father and ask him. i will let you all know thanks much. and i did tell him about the canister and he said he put a new one in over a year ago.
