During the day, 1st time using cruise control it accelerates. Set it at any speed between 45-75 and it continually creeps up. Turn it OFF - ON - set it - multiple time and it starts working fine.

Anybody seen this and have a solution?

No warning lights and no codes.

Under the driver side battery. The fix only worked for a couple of weeks and it died again. CC works fine some days, other times it won't start at all or it works for a while then dies. Dealer says I need a $1,100 ECM, that is not happening!

It seems the vacuum system can cause a little humidity in the valve body.

Maybe this will work for you:

I am going to try this, but also look for a leaky vacuum line.

Based on the wiring schematics the powertrain control module (PCM) not ECM.

Thank you!
