Recently had a brake light message on the dash and cruise control abruptly quit.

Also was continuing to have problems with the emergency brake being soft and not holding. Had the pickup into the Dodge dealers twice before in the last 6 months for the e-brake problem. while still under the warrenty (7/75000).

Long story shortned - Brake switch on brake pedal frame shot and needed replacing. Solved the brake light message and cruise control problem.

Sad part now, e-brake problem due to leaking rear end seals, ruined the brake shoes for the e-brake on both sides of the axle.

78,000 mi at time of leaking seal discovery, which I am sure was the original problem 6 months ago. No help from warrenty, but I sure do have e-brakes now! Leaking seals did not harm the disk brake pads on the rear which look to still have approx 70% pad remaining. Exhaust brake since the rig was new sure does pay off!!

Can not complain as this is the only problem I have had since the rig was purchased new. Looks like I may have a keeper!
