Cruise control failure

Just driving home from a friends house last night and got on the highway, and- no cruise. Tried engaging it 3-4 more times, and nothing. Worked fine 2 hours prior. Pulled the Smarty out when I got home, and no stored codes. Everything else is working fine, just no cruise control. Any ideas? Did check for any blown fuses, and nothing apparent (noticed there is no specific fuse for cruise control).

It could be your clock spring. Does the steering wheel make noise when turning?

Check to see that your vacume (sp) pump located just behind the passenger side battery is operational. It controls your cruise control. Just a thought.

Try the battery disconnect trick, it might work for you also.

The cruise control has worked fine all spring and summer (knock on wood) and we've been on a few long road trips using the darn thing I think ours just had a brain fart, could be yours did too?
