Failure to crank issue solved

Cruise works initially, but, when disengaged as a result of brakes being applied or manually disengaged, it will not re-engage when pressing "Resume" or "Set". The problem was intermittent and would return to operational if turned off for a while, however it has since failed to engage at all. Brake switch seems to work OK according to the lights. Is it possible that the problem lies in the switch(es) located in the steering wheel? I've searched the cruise control threads for answers, but was unsuccessful finding a possible solution.

Certainly it is possible that the switch contacts are dirty. Since it easy to further check into and/or fix, that would be my first choice of what to do...use compressed air and then electrical cleaner on the switches and see if that helps or resolves the problem.

The factory scanner is the only way to positively find the issue instead of throwing parts at it-none of which are going to be cheap

Thanks everyone.... To the dealer it goes for scan (it will probably start working when I bring it in like it did last time)
