I have a 97, 3500 and the cruise control is giving me a problem. I can turn on cruise control but it will not release and the light will not go out. The only way to release the speed is with the brake pedal. Has anyone had this problem?
If you have tilt steering wheel (most do) the wires that feed the cruise buttons go through the steering column become damaged and even break. They are four very small wires. I have had to fix mine a few time. Even now I find that I have to at times tilt my steering wheel all the way up - engaged the cruise and then tilt it down.
