Noticed my cruise control on my new 2 me 2000 Ram 2500, while cruising along the flat areas of the NJ highways its constantly hunting lower than set speed then back up to speed. Looked at throttle cable doesn't seem like excessive slack but just seems like it should maintain a steady rate alot better than this. Any suggestions will help thanks.

is the truck stock?

With larger injectors some of have used a short section of the little red WD-40 squirt tube and shoved it into the vacuum line going to the cruise control diaphragm. This helped the surging some, but dod not eliminate all of it.

This only works with trucks with Vacuum cruise.
