On a 2001 - 2500, are the cruise control buttons supposed to illuminate at night like the rest of the dash does, or do you all fumble with the buttons during night time driving as well? Do I need to look for a seperate fuse somewhere?

Thanks

Left thumb hit upper button and the cruise is available and light in speedo comes on. Left thumb hit lower button and it is engaged. I would rather had the dash light come on when it was engage verses available!!!! About as crummy of a setup as the highbeam switch on newer GM vehicles. Push it forward for high and pull it back for low, guess GM buyers can not see the road in front of themselves to know if they are on high or low. SNOKING

It's not just GM's. My wifes Charger R/T is the same way (forward for highs, backwards for lows, what a BITA).

Yeah, the cruise indicator is a little odd in my opinion too. I don't mind the high beam lever so much, just wish my lights were brighter when the high beams are on. might have to check into that some more.

Thanks for the response about the lack of illumination in the controls... always made me wonder.

When i learned to drivwe I had to be able to operate every control with my eyes closed, so I didn't have to take my eyes off the road. Vehicle are much more complicated now,
