I have 97 in the shop with no cruise. I did a search but did not come up with a cure. The green light will flicker when you first turn the key on, and then once more after you turn the key off. It will not turn on when you push the on/off button. With scan tool the speed sensor works, throttle position works, vaccum is good, dont know what else to check. Any ideas.

You need to check the vacuum supply to the servo, which is beneath the drivers side battery. Seems to be a common problem.

The light blinking thing is kinda weird but the vacum line that goes to the servo right under the battery will corrode through and the cruise wont work. Mine did it 6" from the servo and I cut off the bad piece and inserted the new end back into the rubber connector and it works fine.

I have the same problem. I don't have cruise but I checked the vaccum lines and they aren't corroded. How much does a new servo cost? Is it an easy fix?

Does the AC work correctly? If it only comes out the defrost vents then you have a vacum problem somewhere. Changing the servo is easy and I heard they run about $65.

Thanks

The vaccum to servo is intact. The tach works. AC works correct. I guess either the servo is bad or the switch is bad, any easy way to determine which?
