I have a 2001 Quad Cab 4X2 with an Automatic, and a 3. 54 rear end. It has 95,000 miles on it. I bought the truck new with 9 miles on the odometer. Other than the lift pump replacement at 30,00 miles, no problems. However recently, I noticed that the cruise control does not take the speed like it used to. I used to set the speed and it would hold right there now it seems to wait and sets about 3 to 5 mph slower. It also really does not want to resume the speed it was set at. The truck does not have any engine mods to it. Yet... Any ideas or thoughts???

You might want to try an APPS reset, just to see if it makes a difference. I can't remember the procedure off the top of my head but I'm sure if you do a search you will find something.

Do you have an early 01 or late 01? Late 01's had rear disk brakes and electronic criuse control. Look under the battery for a vacuum servo.

If you have the vacuum servo than that would be the place to start looking. Strecthed cable, leaking diaphram etc.
