Had the cruise reflash done today. It took care of my problem with my set speed creeping up 5-10 mph after initially setting it. The bandwith of the speed regulation is also much tighter than before. It was covered under the 8/80k emissions warranty at no cost except for a $10. 00 tip to the technician who owns a 2001 2500 himself.

I also had the 18-11-99 low power reflash done too. The reflash clears up the blahs below 1800 rpm. It now pulls in a linear fashion from 1600 rpm to redline.

The tech was pretty cool about modifications as long as it didn't involve the pump wire, so I showed him my DDTTM and how it hooked up. We went for a test ride after the reflashes were done and he seemed quite impressed with how much the box adds and how smooth it was. He asked about were to get a box like mine because he wants one for his now! Sounds like we have another power addict on our hands now! :D :D :D

cruise control question

I don't even use my cruise because, unless I'm driving on a totally flat surface, my boost bounces all over the place. Is this the problem you had corrected?

No, I didn't have a problem with a under/overshoot like you seem to be describing. I did have a chance to get into some hilly terrain today and the cruise works better than it has before with no over/undershoot at all. It seems that I have heard quite a few different complaints about early 24v trucks with cruise concerns. Of course, some trucks that are highly modified may exhibit over/undershoot due to very quick and strong throttle response that the stock cruise program can't cope with. All I have so far for mods is the DDTTPM and it works great.
