Hi All:
The cruise control servo (Mopar 53009315) has given up the ghost on my 94 2500 CTD. Poking around the internet, the part seems to be long discontinued. Any ideas where I can locate an original new part from an obscure source, any aftermarket vendors or am I stuck rolling the dice on a junkyard part. thanks, steve whalen

Steve, I can't find a new one available anywhere, either, OE or aftermarket. I wonder if you could make the Mopar 4669977 work? They seem to be available, at least on eBay.

When I did my engine swap in my '98 we used the '98 unit with the '95 cable. I would think if the connector will plug up and your cable will hook up, it will work. It's either that or find you a used one. Try car-part.com for a used one.

Thanks, Scott. I located a used one at a salvage yard about 25 miles from my house via car-part.com. For $35 and 2 hours of my time (I am old and slow) it is worth a shot. Regards, steve whalen

I discovered that the servo for a 95 Jeep Cherokee, pn53009315 is a exact match for the one in my '95. Cost for the new Mopar servo was about $50.00 back in July, 2019. The thread detailing the repair odyessy with pictures of the subject servo is here. https://www.turbodieselregister.com/threads/cruise-control-help-needed.267106/

added in edit; seems the Jeep item is no longer available from the Jeep site I bought from. Too bad since it was like $39 plus shipping of $10. However there are a couple of used ones on Ebay (seller claims they test good) for $30 bucks plus $6.00 shipping.

Good Luck,

RonR

Hi Ron:
Thanks for the link to your adventure. The pn you reference for the Cherokee is exactly the same as the pn for my 94. The pn cross-references for several Chrysler vehicles in the early to late 90s era. As common as it was, the part is no longer available anywhere I look, nor are there any aftermarket vendors. However, I am not the most internet-savvy guy, so they may be out there somewhere and a 12 year old could find it in a heartbeat. At this point I am committed to the junkyard find. Just need to find the time for the install. Regards, steve whalen
