06 injector problem

This may or may not be the place to post my query.

Since we bought the '03 2500 w/ CTD, auto. and 4. 10 rear, it has had a problem with the cruise control. If it's 50-67 mph when set, the cruise will surge or pulse - whatever you want to call it.

It's annoying#@$%!

Any fixes? (besides going 67+)??

Did you ever resolve your surging issue? I know someone with an 03 that is also having this issue. Does anyone have a procedure for checking/monitoring vacuum readings while creating the surge? Specs?

Ditto, I have the same thing, however, it just started after I hit 123,000 miles. Something is wrong, but so far I can't figure it out. I have tried a few things..... I will post later this week as I am testing a few more things.

I had a problem with surging, it was a bad injector. But I never noticed it with the cruise on that I can remember. Most of the time it was when the truck was in Park while running. Dodge told me that I let the truck idle to long and it messed up the injector. I did notice that the manual says not to let the truck idle more than 5 minutes. Sometimes it just doesn't make sense to turn off the truck when I am hooking up my 5th wheel. But I have been paying more attention to that and turing it off sooner.

Thanks Twest for the info!

ACerf. Only one out of Six,Hmmm I guess according to Dodge the other 5 are immune to idle time, My guess would be more accurate ,that it was just defective and needed replacement.

TWest: thanks for the attached PDF, I will try this.

I now have a bigger issue with the engine light coming on and intermittent power loss / over-revving that just started today without warning.
