Attention: TDR Forum Junkies My cruise had not been working since March. None of the tips on the TDR seemed to fix my cruise. Here are some of the symptoms I encountered:
1. 90% of the time turning the cruise on did nothing, light would not come on. If it did, the cruise usually would not engage. The odd time it did, it would work for a couple minutes then kick off.
2. Cruise light would come on by itself. Trying to turn it off with the switch had no effect. The light would go out on its own after a time.
3. Light sometimes came on when I started the truck.
Caved in and took the dealer. 6 hrs of labour later, he found a short in the wire running to the PCM. Replaced wire and voila, works again.
