Cruise control turns on and sets automatically

My 06 3500 automatic, has an issue where the cruise control turns on and sets itself. Happens every minute or so. I've been told it's an ecm issue. Any ideas?

It started a few months ago, it would turn on every30 minutes or so, now it happens all the time.

Disconnect both batteries then touch the pos and negative together , for kicks leave it disconnected for a couple hours. then hook up the batteries.

had my truck diagnosed today by a guy that specializes in computer/wiring issues.
Problem is supposedly in the clock spring. No ecm issue after all! Much cheaper fix..

Clockspring? Same as a muffler bearing?

I was thinking it may be the CS but I've never heard of a problem with ours before. I've seen lots of issues with other makes though, like horns blowing.
Can I get partial credit?

I thought of it too, but failed to post because I was too busy messing with even MORE snow.

The Caravan / Town and Country mini vans had some clock spring issues, they would trip the air bag light. Had two changed under extended warranty.

That is the connection / circuit pathway for everything contained in the steering wheel assembly. Cruise, air bag, wheel mounted volume controls, etc....

Don't go back to the place that told you it was the ECM.........Wow...
