I need some expert advise again. My cruise suddenly quit working

yesterday & I can't figure out why. Can't find a blown fuse (can't

find a fuse to the cruise period) or anything else that is obvious.

Anybody got any ideas at all?All help is greatly appreciated.

THANKS,Rick

First. . check the vaccum line that runs to the actuator under the driver side battery to the middle of the firewall. Sometimes the plastic tube gets eaten by the acid from the battery. If it is the plastic tube let me know, I think I still have the part number somewhere which will make it easy at the parts house. From the local dealer it was about $10.

i just had a problem with mine . you should check the vac line as suggested first . it has been known to get pulled off when changing the fuel filter. i traced mine to a defective servo . it attached to the left hand battery box. also check that the electrical connector on the servo is plugged in firmly. good luck. :)

When I came home from work last nite I decided I would give one

last shot at finding what was wrong with my cruise. Put the truck

in my shop and checked all vacum lines & they all appeared to be

OK. Next I pulled out every fuse I could find & tested them with an

ohm meeter & they all checked good. Gave up & drank beer. Left for a little jaunt to N. Calif. this morning & I'll be damned if my cruise control don't work!! Don't know what I did but it must have been right. Thanks for your replys

There is some type of timeout that resets when you shut off your truck. I have managed to engage this feature twice by accident, both times holding down one of the buttons for too long a period of time to override sys, generally, about 20 seconds. Thought I had killed it, but came back after restart.
