Cruise Control

I changed the Throttle Position Sensor in my truck and it works great. However, the cruise control still doesn't work (are they related?). I checked all of the fuses up under the dash and have not found any blown ones. I would like to fix the cruise without going to the dealer. Any ideas on what might be wrong? Currently it is the only thing on the truck that doesn't work. Just an inconvenience. Thanks in advance!!!

Jeremy, just checked my manual, there is quite an extensive diagnotic chart for the speed control system. The throttle position sensor is not used in the speed control system, it works from the speed distance sensor on the transmission. What is required to check the speed control, is to follow the chart in the manual, this involves a road test to isolate the problem area. Some things to check: speed control throttle cable disconected, no vacuum at servo, defective servo, and improper stop lamp and speed control switch adjustment.
Hope this will help out, if not email me at address below.

The cruise control on my 93 4x4 intermitently will kick off and on- I have noticed a relationship to the position of the tilt wheel (repositioning the wheel retrieves an action) - probably means a future wire harness change on the steering column for me.

Guy's,
The brake light switch can cause the cruise to not work properly or not at all. I'm always having to reposition the switch to get the cruise to work right. Started having lots of problems after I changed the booster and master cylinder. The pedel rides in a slightly different place and the switch keeps pushing up away from the pedel. These 2 things are what I'm fighting. To see if this is possibly the problem, push the switch down toward the pedal. My switch simple presses into the holder, not sure about the 92's. They may mount differently.
Ieven replaced the switch, that didn't help either, it's all in the position it contacts the pedal arm.

Well fellas, ETOBIOCOKE sent me some service manual scans, so the Dodge is in for it this weekend. The shop is open for the first time in four months, just got the hydraulic pump put on a tractor last weekend. Thanks for all of the help.
