Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) cruise control?

when i set my cruise, it works for a short then starts to climb a little at a time. sometimes a little eratic,but it never looses speed. whats happening? has this happened to any of u out there?tnx in advance denny!

It sounds like a sticking button. Make sure your buttons are fully returning - you might have to take them off the wheel and clean them - might have some "gunk" in there.

I had that problem with mine !! It happened right after I changed batteries. After doing a search I found out that it must have screwed it up. You have to keep resetting it untill it gets a memory. Mine would increase to 8 miles an hour faster and not slow down. I would just turn it off and reset. I don't have a problem now it works great. I probably had to do the resetting about 20 times before it started working right.

Replace the Cruise Servo

My cruise did the same for several years until it finally did what Denny's does only it would pull until well past 100 mph if I let go.



I changed the cruise servo (round thing under the battery) and that fixed it. I check bottons, vacumn lines, etc to no avail.



The cruise servo should only run you $40 - 50.
