i am only talking about the manually set high idle feature using the cruise set / accel buttons on the steering wheel (cruise on,set 1000rpm,push accel up to 1500rpm). not the factory below 30* auto idle up feature. i just bought an early 04 6 spd and want to know how to do this as my early 04 auto has this feature enabled. i did a search but the info was on 04. 5 and up.

1. is it pin 22, like on 04. 5 and up?

2. are the ECM pins different from 03-04 to 04. 5 and up?

3. can i buy the ECM pigtail and tap pin 22 and enable the high idle feature and be good to go?

thanks for the replys but lets keep it on subject as im not talking about 04. 5 and up trucks nor about the factory enabled below 30* auto high idle to 1000rpm.

not 100% on this but I dont see any reason why it wouldnt work.

Wayne, it is possable to do on the manual, you just have to do a little tinkering ;)

03/04 have a differant ecm then a 04. 5. So there is a break in serial numbers. Early trucks with Chrysler ecm there is no manual high idle 6 speed or automatic. You need the bulliten to check serial numbers. If its a early truck there is no down load or way to activate. Then I think 04. 5 has to have a download done then manual high idle has to be turned on. Later trucks it only has to be turned on with a drb.
