Hi together

There are many hundreds of Cummins Rams here in Switzerland, one of them is mine.

A little Camper. Oo.

But most are just Work Horses to Tow real heavy Trailers, the older ones are all rated to 22000Lbs, the newest ones since 2010 are even rated to 26000Lbs.

Ciao

Oh pretty well, because there are so many on the roads (in Switzerland) so the Truck Importers stock all the often needed spareparts so we get them in a day.
Special orders within a week.
Downside is that the MOPAR Parts here are really price, I for my self order most direct from US - whats available from Genos, the Rest from Ebay (stevewhite) and also from Summit.

So I find this Forum and TDR, registered and very happy with all the Information I can get here.
I do all the work on my Truck by my self, dont trust in workshops.

Sure I can :)

It's an AIRFLOW Snorkel, specially designed for 3. Gen.

But there is a major bump on the Road if you fit them to a Cummins - he doesn't flow enough air for it, the filter minder indicates it even with 50% Throttle.

So i had to modify the airbox with a second, self made, Air intake that is remote seal-able from the inside of the cabin. Did a lot of brain work before it worked well.

I hope you undestand my english

Is the box on the bed of the truck a camper?

Welcome to TDR.

Welcome to TDR, Ozy. That's a nice-looking Dodge Ram with beautiful scenery in the background.

I like the stainless camper on the back. Was the camper factory or handbuilt? Can we see more photos of the back and inside of your camper?

Thank you all
I'll make some pictures from inside. The Cabin is handmade from a friend, nearly 20 Years old now and on the forth vehicle fitted.

Hi Harvey

Here are the pics you asked for.

The whole cabin is made as a spaceframe out of 1. 25" square-tubes in stainless steel, dressed up with aluminium sheet, isolated with 1. 25" styrofoam.

Also there is a 240 Ah Batterie and a EBERSPAECHER Diesel Airheater, the whole setup is made to a week to be self-sufficient without starting the engine.

Thats the long story short of my Cabin - Camper sounds to much like white-ware. :D

That is a very impressive "cabin" At 20 years old it hardly shows its age. To build something like that today would cost a fortune! Very nice

Yes, Table goes down.
Gives a Bed in 1. 85 x 1. 45 Meters.
At table is space for 5 Person, 2 in front, 3 in rear.

The Cabin itself was build to withstands a rollover in the Desert, the primary travel destination of the man who builds it.
Did many many trips to the Sahara in the nineties and till the terrorism reaches this region.
I did too but with my Grand Cherokee.

Hey!! I recognize the name from the TDR calendar! Welcome! You don't worry about your English, you just keep describing the truck!! And we never did get the brainwork description on that in cabin air filter/snorkel!! Any more details you'd like to share about that? I'm all ears!
