In the forthcoming Issue 106 TDR magazine (due in November) we have an article about Cummins’ 10th Anniversary celebration that happened back in June.
You can download the article at the bottom of this post (PDF 11.5 meg).
Noteworthy from our article is the text from Lyle Cummins’ speech that was to have happened AT THE EVENT. However, it rained. Storm shelter rain.
So, what did Mr. Cummins’ son, Lyle, have to share with the audience? We are so very fortunate to have the text of his presentation: a recap of his father’s accomplishments. Title “Cummins History – Overcoming Hopeless Challenges.” You’ll find the story of Clessie Cummins to be fascinating. My sincere thanks to Mr. Lyle for letting us share his presentation.
Fascinating, too, is the fact that Cummins is the oldest diesel engine manufacturer in this country. And, to quote Mr. Lyle, “If you look at it from the standpoint of independence and autonomy, Cummins is the oldest in the world.
Going hand-in-hand with the 100th Celebration and the Lyle Cummins article are two other important and entertaining tie-ins. The first is a link to Cummins, Inc. and their 100 year historical timeline. Second, you'll find some photos from the 100th Celebration below.
Go ahead, click on this link and be immersed in Cummins history (the 100 year timeline) and download the PDF file to read our story about the Cummins event and Mr. Lyle Cummins' presentation on Cummins history.
Enjoy.
