Cummins 4025182 pig tail

Ok, have new lift pump and filters by the tank. Have new Cummins pig tail 4025182. Looked at the plug in wires on stock lift pump. One black one yellow, yellow is hot. The Cummins pig tail 4025182 both wires are black, on one black wire on new pig tail has one orange piece of tape but it looks like the line up with stock pump plug in will make the orange tape on the pig tail the ground wire. I will soder new hot wire on bench. Has anyone put on the new pig tail for the new by the tank lift pump? I am thinking that our Mexican friends put the orange tape on the ground wire rather that the hot wire?

I used the pigtail when I added the carter in Feb, PM Dave D and he can tell you which wire goes wher. He did the electrics on my pump conversion and we had the same problem. He figured out an easy way to do it.

On John's pigtail the ground wire had the the orange tag on it.



Worst case, unplug the factory harness, plug in the pigtail and note the orientation of the pigtail.
