Cummins 4bt

Does anyone know if someone makes a kit with injectors and fuel plate to increase hp and torque on a 4bt? How about a turbo for such a small engine? I need to increase hp from about 60 to somewhere around 85 and of course an increase of torque is a given. Any and all information is greatly appreciated.

I've never heard of a kit, but you could check with those companies that sell performance injectors for the 12 valve 6bt and verify with them that those injectors would work in the 4bt. You might have to give them a CPL or engine serial number though.

With bigger injectors, a stock HX-35 might be a good turbo. If that's too big then maybe a stock HY-35. You'll probably end up having to do a bunch of playing around to find a good combination, but I bet a call to BD or any of the other performance shops that have done real R&D themselves would be very worthwhile.

If you only need that amount of increase in hp, you could probably just install bigger injectors like(marine injectors) and get the increase your looking for. . Get in contact with Mark @ TST Products, he worked for cummins as an engineer for almost 30 years and he should be able to help you easily...
