Cummins 600 finished today!

Called today and checked on the status, released to ship today! Now the painfull last few weeks of waiting starts.

Ok, here's what i found out from DC today: Mine went to D1 on 12/17. They said it would be in production now (1/5) and had a tentative ship date of 1/9. I asked if they could tell from the VIN if it was an 04. 5 for sure and the woman had no clue what I was talking about. I explained and she went to ask a "tech". She said it had code NAA on it which meant it was the "standard emmissions. " I asked if that was 04 and she said yes. The more I think about it now, if it isn't through assembly yet, it has to be 04. 5, since the 04's were actually certified for 03. Am I right?



This was ordered on Oct. 10, so I'm starting to get a little tired of wondering... . Could be worse though, it could have been built and destroyed in shipping...

Your getting the 600. December 10th build date was to be the start of the 600.

I sat on hold and had the guy verify if it had the cummins 600 in it. 5 min later he said 5. 9 HO cummins 600! I was getting worried for a few min because it took so long. The guy also told me it was in body and paint before xmas, so they did half of the truck before and finished it up after the holidays. Hope I don't find and Corona beer bottles rattleing in the doors!

My 01 Ford F 350 had a air flow problem from time to time. Took it to the dealer and they found a McDonalds bag in the duct. Said the only way it got in there was at the factory.

How do you know that the 10th is the start of the 600? I just took delivery of my 04 Ram on Dec 30th, it's build date was Dec 9th, and the VIN # is a nice even number,

dkosheba, it does appear yours was built close to the engine change. My information comes from a very reliable source. Source has not been wrong yet and it is going on twenty-five years! There are always last minute factory changes that can change production dates either to the plus or minus side.
