In case anyone's interested in what this color looks like:

It'd be nice if Cummins would have their own color wheel. The tiny color mark on the can (all their paint cans have white caps) really doesn't give us consumers a good idea of what's inside.
It's $16+ / can. That's about twice as much as the engine paints at the auto parts stores. Apex Red is an engine paint, fyi. The color on the label is certainly not what's inside the can! In the sun on a plastic part, it seems to have a hint of orange. In the shade of the engine bay, that same plastic part seems to be closer to a candy apple red.

As you can tell, I'm getting ready to put some 'bling' inside my old engine bay. It'll be a few more days until I paint metal. There's a bunch of cleaning and prep work ahead of me.

Where did you purchase this Cummins paint from?

"Where did you purchase this Cummins paint from?" I picked it up from a big rig shop in Roanoke, VA. Highway Motors Inc. off Peters Creek Rd just west of the airport. If you've seen Cummins OEM cans on the interweb for around 22$ plus free shipping... well now you know why the shipping is "free"! :)
Duplicolor has a Cummins Beige and an Industrial Red in their engine paint section. The C.Beige is very much like OEM C.Beige #3824515. Their Industrial Red seems to me rather close to C.Apex Red. It'd cost me another $8.43 to find out, but this project has already chewed up my savings way faster than I can replace it at this moment in time. That is to say, I'm not going to do a side by side comparison today... or tomorrow! ;)
Duplicolor is sold in most auto parts stores. Advanced Auto currently has Duplicolor Engine Paints on sale-ish: buy one get one half price --> 2 cans of engine paint = $12.

Should be fun (for me) trying to color match then. I've got a crutch called color blind Lol.

If you can find a place to mix paint I would highly recommend Alkyd enamel. I painted the engine Hemi Orange in the road runner I had over 20 years ago and it was still intact and looked the same as the day I applied it when I sold the car. That is if the EPA didn't ban it.
