Wow guys (And Girls) I have no idea HOW I made it this far without this thing ! Sure now I am bombed silly and thats fine HOWEVER once things start to go due to the added demand ... ..... No more running outside for that special number that Cummins allways needs ... ... BANG its right there with a diagram AND with the part # SPECIFIC to your rig.

Each Customized Parts Catalog is imprinted on the cover and the spine with your name, your engine model and rating, and your engine serial number for easy look-ups. Contents include service part numbers, diagrams, service kits and Cummins ReCon Number listings

Other than the Full set of manuals for the truck I think this is a close seccond (Other than Trans mods)

WOW! even after reading some of it I am amazed at the data that our engines have registered along with them at the cummins plant! For instance (Not that this applies to me anymore with the PDR40) but take the Turbocharging unit ... ... . The breakdown of the data that goes along with that particular unit (HY35) is mind boggling. Even the VP44 has something like five different versions and the catalog supplies you with the EXACT part # required to call up and get a new one and even goes into detail about the fueling rates and rpm stops and more on the ecm.

Each part breakdown has its own diagram and locational picture ... ... very well made indeed. The main reasons I can see having one is to save the time when on the phone with Cummins and you KNOW you WILL have the right part when it arrives.

Where to locate serial number.

Would someone know where the serial number of the motor is located. I'm aware if the data plate on the front gear housing near the pump giving the CPL # and such. I want to get one of these books but they won't send without serial number for my 92.

Thanks.

Customized Parts Catalog

Funny you should mention this,

I have two of them (one for my old ETC and one for my new ETH engine). They have a wealth of parts info. in them!

I found the order sheets for them in the back of my Cummins ISB O&M Manual that I bought about two years ago along with the ISB Light Duty Fuel Systems troubleshooting manual from Cummins Power Systems in Glen Burnie Md.

It's too cool! It has your name on the cover and all you'll ever need to know about parts for your particular engine/serial number combo.
