funny prank

Did you take the Cummins survey?

It was sent via E-mail today.

One of the questions was " have you purchased any performance enhancing products from D/C or your Cummins distributer?"

Yeah ... . right:--)

Another was what could D/C-Cummins do to ensure your continued business?

a: FIX THE LIFT PUMP PROBLEM.

b: PUT A DECENT AUTO TRANS BEHIND THE MIGHTY CUMMINS.

c: FIGURE OUT WHAT A CREW CAB IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE.

d: STOP VOIDING OUR WARRANTY FOR EVERY MOD.

Any other thoughts for the D/C "Guys with ties"?:-{}

I filled it out-according to the e-mail message I received it was from Cummins. I don't think DC could care less about our opinions-as shown by the lack of a true crew cab in the DR body style.

However if I find out my warranty is mysteriously null and void in the next little while it'll be posted here first!

Cummins Survey

Since we've had some posts about virus' recently, I just thought I'd jump in and say the invitation to participate is legitimate, not a virus.

For those who have time to participate, thank you. We are doing this as a courtesy and at the direct request of Cummins Engine Company.

I told 'em to quit screwin around with Dodge and put their engine in a Ford... Then I could have a truck with true 3+3 seating and a good engine.

Yeah, i was kinda gigglin' at that question about mods;)

I filled it out but I don't have any bombs so I wasn't worried about that question. I did it because TDR is a great resource and Cummins seems like a good company so I figured I would help out.

I filled it out. I like question 29... Do you have internet access? Duh... .

This is about as good as the one about why you dont buy mods from the dealer.

Other than that, I thought it was a very good survey, and I hope good things come out of it!.

Shovelhead, sounds like we wrote the same reply. I have no bombs... but I lashed into the fact that if you even think about changing a bolt on the truck, DC with void the warranty and that drive's customers away. I also added that DC and Cummins havent offered and "uprate" package for HP for the CTD's with and auto. . because of the transmission... but there are plenty of aftermarket companies out there doing it and DC wouldnt have to reinvent the wheel. Just create an whole package, all needs to be done at the same time. A HP box, a VB and TC or a HP box injectors and a whole new transmission with a TC.

I'd rather buy a system designed to work together then dealing with peice mealing the upgrades. Aint got the time and money to see what works with what and to deal with DC voiding my warranty.

I thought that the survey was very important and spent the evening listing all of the problems we are having that should not be occuring. The "killer Dowel Pin" was the starting point and it went down hill from there.

I hope EVERONE on the TDR responds to this survey. I think we may have gained their attention and MAYBE they will listen to us. Please, everyone take the time and critique both companies with all of the problems we have had. This is the opportunity that we have been waiting for. Don't let it get away!

the way it works is you fill out the online form.

when you hit the submit button it runs a script that uses your default email program and address to make an email which is sent. your answers arent sent via the webpage and server.

so if your email program is not setup "correctly" enough as well as default in your OS, I could see how they're gonna have some problems with the why they did it.

They should have just done a formmail script and had it sent through their own servers. But I would guess they did it this way so they could verify each submittal.

I hope the survey is important!

I filled it out but left out my address and last name. As stated above these are being transmitted via e-mail NOT over a secure web site. E-mails are unsecured and thus the information you transmit is interceptable by those with bad intensions or worse will take that information and use it to contact you to try to sell you some aluminum siding and replacement windows!!! ok Im done.

I wrote that I like the truck but dont like the dealers or their prices.

Cummine Engine Company???

With Cummins mis-spelled in the subject line, I figured that there was no way that the survey was legit. It's gone!!

I sure hope this is not a hoax! I checked Joe G's URL for the survey and it is different in the heading portion with "optional" being displayed currently which I didn't get last night. Everything else is the same including the email address. When the email address came up I thought the survey was an attachment but I didn't go there and check it out. I did think about the name of Rajesh. Singh but did not stop. (bad decision)

Has the TDR fully checked this out for validity????????????????

Yes, it's 100% valid. The survey is here on our server and I wrote up the html page for it based on a paper survey that Cummins is sending out to people. They originally wanted to get our mailing list to mail them to you and we felt that they'd get a better response and that the members would be more comfortable getting it and filling it out this way. A number of users complained about having to put their name and address on there (which they didn't have to) so I added the (OPTIONAL) to it today to alay those fears. The email telling you about the survey also came from the TDR server as well. Rajesh Singh is an MBA intern working at Cummins and is handling the project.
