I'm new to the site. Been loving my 1997 for 236,000 and I plan on keeping it till 500,000 or more.

I do most all my repairs myself thanks to the factory manual and my ability to not let things intimidate me. I bought my truck new in 1997 off the showroom floor and I have maintained it well enough that most think its still new.

I have lots of plans for it soon and I will be around to share my experience and to learn from you all.

Hola all!!

no, it does not get any better... I've been hot rodding since I was 17yrs old, and these trucks have the best mix of fun and function out of any vehicle out there!!!

welcome to the board!!! time to start crankin' up the power on that baby, she's just gettin' broken in :D

Well I think of Two things that might be better 1. ) the winning Lotto numbers 2. ) the second I can't mention

deffintley nothing better then that cummins! welcome to TDR, im still kinda new and trying to learn as much about my truck as possible! keep us informed.

I can think of a few things that are better but there is nothing better then a Cummins under the hood of my peacup ;)

EDIT: Welcome aboard

Hola Yourself and welcome to TDRland.

So here's the deal - while you're thinking over your bombing plan, go pop that hood and slide the plate and housing forward/give the starwheel many clicks (top of wheel toward the engine) and start getting a taste of a few more HP today - for FREE.

I'm really surprised Forrest didn't already make this recommendation.
