Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Cummins Engine Paint?

Getting ready for my install of my replacement short block and need to get engine paint,mine is a 99,its a dark grey. Does somebody have a Mopar or Cummins part# for this paint? Dave

Factory just put clear coat over the cast iron after washing the engine. First gen used Bluke and second gen 12 vavles used Titanium Black.

Thanks Joe, I was sorta thinking thats what they did. Mine looks crappy in areas,thanks to the winters here in the N. E. , lots of salt on the roads and I did try to keep it clean. Maybe,with the new engine going together I'll try a better application with some color. Dave

Anodized bronze spray paint intended for aluminum window frames it a perfect match for 12 valves, don't know about 24s.

Available at most hardware stores.

The Rustoleum metallic black dries out as a close match to the original 12 valve engine color and adds a little bit of sparkle. Looks good.
