I've managed to re-power my '84 Ramcharger with a Cummins out of my wrecked '89 P. U.
Running stock 3" through a Flowmaster although I can see a straight pipe on the horizon. Turbo is a non-gated 18. All this sits on top of a TF with NP205, 60 & 70 axles with 3. 07s. Might be a little bit of over-kill but at least I won't have to worry about breaking something. 60% of my driving is freeway with less than 5% towing time.
I have a non-gated 12 in stock and wouldn't mind being able to hear my turbo a little more but not at the risk of hurting this thing, after all its survived 110,000 miles
of being driven by me (320,000 total). Anybody have any thoughts on Cummins in this
light an application and running that small a turbo housing? None of the specs. I pulled with the engine in the P. U. as far as boost, EGT seem to fit with the RC.
Any thoughts/suggestions are welcome,
Thanks, Jones
