I just picked up a Nexiq adapter with CAT and Cummins software. Will the same cummins software that works on the big trucks work on our late model computer controlled dodges? If so, is there anything that I should know going into it?

The last time that I asked this question the answer was you can read data from the three prong plug on the engine itself and get limited results. The bulk of the info cannot be read without the Dodge software.

We just bought a used Dodge set-up on E-Bay as we had to take on the Sterling Bullet line and could not do squat without it.

Mike. :)

Mike. Tell me more about the 3 prong plug. I haven't seen it. I know it's difficult to get cummins info at the OBD II plug.

Dave, can you give some details on your setup? I have a Snap On Modis for light duty trucks and older versions of dealer software for medium and heavy trucks. I need to get some newer and more complete programs.
