we have used cummins insite for years on all of the older 24 valve engines. we are starting to see more and more of the the common rail trucks however so far we could not connect to any of them. is there something differant? has anyone out there been able to connect insite to a CR engine in a dodge????

thanks for any help

Chris

I remember in the early days of third gens somebody else asked about the Insight and though I cant remember what changed, it turned out it wasn't possible to hook it up.

Maybe someone (or everyone:{ ) elses memory is better?

IIRC, Insite is no longer supported on the CR engines. I believe DC is doing all the ECU programming and the Cummins pieces have been removed.

It sounds like you are talking high end dealer type diagnostics, but FWIW, I've got a plain old Actron CP9145 scantool that I bought in "03 and recently had it upgraded and it reads and resets codes and give a readout of basic operating parameters while running and driving. Stuff like rail pres, boost, temp, etc.
