Dodge to sell Hemi conversion kits for Dakotas

Good reading

I have a niehbor who wants to know about a kit for installing a real motor in his chev dually with a 6. 5. He needs a complete kit or less motor but everything else. Does anyone on the west coast sell one or is Enterprise the only option?
Any phone #'s would be great guys.
Thanks
Adam

give Hadi an email--I think he might be the only source for a conversion to chevy trannys-anyway he's the only one I found--Advance Adapters have nothing for trannys---hghand6239@aol.com--it ain't a cheap option---chris

I went to my local Cummins distributor a few years ago. They still have them. Not sure what motor they will sell, though. But if your friend can rig up the electronics, more power to him (no pun intended #ad
). I was only able to get the pre '94 engine due to the electronics and stuff.

Ace Cummins mechanic Jim Leonard, down in Riverside, Calif. , has done at least one swap into a Chevy that I know of. He has a small ad in the back of the TDR. Last I heard, he's out on the road in his 5th wheel, probably taking a roundabout way to May Madness.
I'm sure he could give you all kinds of info, he's a great guy, and very knowledgable.
BTW, he replaced the 5-speed on his '98 12-valve 2WD with a 6-speed, he said it was a direct bolt-in, no modifications were necessary!
