cummins jake a poor choice??

Recently told my dodge dealer to install a jake on my 03, a couple days later he told me the jake dodge carries would not fit and he would have to get one from cummins. After he installed it i noticed that the cummins kit includes its own vacumn pump [diesels don't make vacumn] the vacumn pump is noisy, any way to quite it down? Did i make a mistake in buying the cummins kit? Are there other jake brake kits that are not so noisy? thanks in advance James
