The hospital where I work has 3 Onan/Cummins generator sets for emergency power. The engine labels say they're model #KTA19-G4 and are rated at 755HP. These units are pretty inpressive, big ol' inline sixes that run at 1800 rpm. The exhaust pipes are at least 7" if not 8" in diameter. Every Friday they fire 'em up for testing. They are set up to start at full throttle to hit operating speed ASAP. They fire off with a roar and a big shot of black smoke. The smoke clears right up and they humm along and sound just like our trucks but on a larger scale. With all 3 of them roaring it's an awesome sound! The coolant on these powerplants is maintained at 70F for fast starts, and they always fire off instantly. Recently we had a power outage. The moment the power dropped, the engines started, revved up to operating speed, relays switched over, all this in less than 2. 5 SECONDS!!!
Question: Does anyone know specs on these engines, like displacement and torque ratings? Couldn't find anything on the web.
