Had to pry off my Cummins logos to install fender flairs, but want to relocate them. What is that sticky rubber like stuff that they were glued on with? Would like to hear from anybody who's done this. What did you use?

It is a double back tape that you can get at some auto parts stores. For the amount you need, you might do better walking into a body shop with the two in hand and pose the question. You might well walk away with enough to put 'em on. . and have the RIGHT tape. .

Others can advise of particulars, as it has been discussed here before. .

I took off ALL of the badges on mine, including those and like it better, but that is personal choice...

They come with an industrial double-sided tape backing. 3M and others make a "Trim & Emblem" adhesive that you can get at most auto parts stores that works well.

Reverse question... .

How is the best way to take them off?

I pryed them off with a screwdriver but only got it between the logo and the tape, it's an eight of an inch thick so I never touched the paint. Then I pushed of the big stuff with a putty knife, and used rubbing compound to buff off the rest.

A lot of folks recommend using a hair dryer to heat them up and getting some dental floss to "saw" through the adhesive. Then your fingers or a rubber body eraser to get rid of the remaining glue.

To re-attach, there is a small tube of special emblem glue available at auto paint stores. Not sure if the parts stores like Pep Boys or Autozone would have them. I believe 3M makes it. Hope this helps

Hay George where did you get the fender molding and do they cover the whole well.

Yes, they wrap around and cover completely. I ordered them from the JC Whitney catalog. $429 - 15% = $365 no tax when shipped out of IL.

Now if I can find someone to paint them for a reasonable price I'll get them installed.
