What happened in Tulare???

<font color=blue>Just wanted to say to everyone I met up with in Kansas City thanks for coming I had a great time.

And before we left (there was about 5 or 6 of us that stayed until about 6pm) we found out my truck was 2nd place in the "show"? Even tho we had no idea that there was one! We just parked and they said fill out this card..... #ad

So I am pretty happy with that.

All of those people that I met - Great to meet you!

Gotta run, got somewhere to be #ad

I had a good time at the K C Cummins open house. My first time meeting any of the TDR members. I really enjoyed it. GREAT bunch of people!!!! Wished there would have been more of you there. BTW Kat, did ya'll sleep in late this morn? #ad

Yeah it was a great event, I found the maintenence seminar very informative and enlightening. #ad
#ad
The guy running it tried to scare the bomb out of people.

<font color=blue>The guy giving the seminar sure didn't give any straight answers... ... .

I merely asked how much boost and a 24v ISB take (excluding the turbo), he didn't answer it #ad
#ad

He wouldn't even tell me how much boost a "Stock" turbo would take. (Not that it matters to me)

Another "funny" thing was he asked if any of us had ever seen higher then 1000&deg; EGT's #ad
There was several of us TDR fellas in the back row "snickering" on some of his "answers".

Oh well all in all it was fun..... I was just going to meet some of ya, didn't really care about the open house... ...

yogi - thats privlaged information #ad

I guess the bad boys always sit at the back of the classroom. I wish i had a transcript of the questions and answers it would be fun to post. There were more than a few things the "teacher" said that i didn't agree with, including the max. 1000 degree figure. All those lecturers think stock is best and say that if you even put the mildest upgrade on you'll mess up your motor.

<font color=blue>Just got a confirmation phone call from Cummins Mid-America.....

1st Place - A black truck that was parked "down below" , I don't recall seeing it.

2nd Place - My truck! Was sitting "up top" by the registration table in the 2nd spot from the door into the building.

3rd Place - Markcuda's truck! Was the red truck sitting right next to mine, both were backed into the parking spots.

So basically "winning" that paid for my fuel there and back and part of dinner #ad
By the way Mark you ain't picking the dinner place no more... ... ... #ad

On the way home it wasn't too aweful bad was it? #ad
I couldn't resist giving it some throttle when you pulled up next to me, I let off for a lil bit say ya coming and goosed it again #ad
Also I hope ya didn't need anything when ya pulled into that rest stop (by the time I saw ya it was too late for me) I kinda wanted to get where I was going (yes I made it there by 1130pm).

Glad to have ya along tho.

Well guys, had a pretty good time at the K. C. gathering. Oh, Lurch - I enjoyed meeting EVERYBODY. LOL. Got a call today from one of the guys from Cummins, said I got 3rd place, guess I can't complain, $50 is better than nothing. But in my honest opinion, I think some of you guys got there early and paid off some of the judges. LOL. Oh, Kat - Hope you enjoyed your fine supper at such a fine establishment like Smugglers Inn. Next time you can choose - "NOT". LOL. To be honest I had more fun at the event than I did coming home. Had a 1 hour wait on stadium traffic, I think I moved 2 miles. My baby is stranded in St. Louis. Mopars1 and I, or I think he did, came to the conclusion that my lift pump is JUNK. DAVE if you read this, I can't begin to THANK you enough for the help you did for me getting my truck to the dealership. AGAIN, thanks so very much.

Heh "Kat":

Congratulations on your second place
finish at the rally!

BTW, have you ever gotten your HX-40?

Kat, I was fine when I stopped. The drive home was great I just meant everyone else that we followed that day.

Mark, I just meant "everybody" wasn't there. Also, how could we possibly pay off the judges, you were the first one there #ad

Sorry to hear you had trouble on the way home.

Mark, I was glad I could help in some way. I checked this morning and we have a lift pump in stock. We have not been able to get it put on yet as Mondays are always NUTS! A 98 was towed in also, and guess what? It needs a lift pump, too! We did not have one in stock for that year (different part number). I should not be posting on this thread as I was not in KC, but all you posting take it easy on Mark as he sat in St. Louis and then Edwardsville for a good four hours. By the way Mark, it looks pretty good at ths point that the lift pump will be put on tomorrow and then we will see if the injection pump was hurt or not. The tech said he has not seen a failed lift pump hurt the injection pump yet. Hold your breath as the injection pump has to be ordered through the STAR hotline. Email me if you need anything else.

John -
Thanks! Yes I got my HX40, I have had the thing for a couple of weeks now! Still waiting on my ATS Manfold from BD that is supposed to ship sometime this week even tho it was ordered on Oct 3rd!

Needless to say the turbo ain't on the truck yet... ... ... .....

Lurch, are you talking about the short scenic tour I took you on when we left the Smugglers Inn? Sorry about that, I thought I knew where I was going. #ad

Mark, I missed the traffic jam, I figured you ran right into it going east on I-70. Sorry to hear of your troubles. Did you get my message? BTW, they were talking about you guys when we left Smugglers. LOL!!!
Larry.

Yogi -

Whenever you "Edit" your message, scroll down to the bottom of it and delete where it says "edited by" and that way only one will show up when you post.

And Lurch and myself also got a scenic tour before arriving..... I won't mention any names... #ad

Well, I'm sure glad I did a little TDR surfin' last week, or I wouldn't have even known about this event. (Too many hours in the office!) I sure had a great time meeting you guys. I got quite the kick out of the seminar, too. I'm glad there aren't bells in my eyeballs, though. With all the rolling around they did they would have been going "ding! ding! ding!". Quite informative, huh?

My wife wasn't too happy with me when I canceled a big bike ride on Saturday to go see you all. But she didn't feel so bad about it when she received a call from Cummins Mid-America telling her the check would reach us before the week was out. Yep - that was my old black beast "down below". I really didn't think it was anything special compared to what I saw parked up near the main area. Maybe it was the fuzzy dice and our dog sitting on the center console that did it...

Anyway, it was great getting to meet you all. 'Just wish I had more time to stick around and talk REAL Cummins (unlike the seminar) with you. 'Glad everyone made it home ok. I'm looking forward to the next one!

Say, I just noticed that the three winning trucks all had those great TDR hitch receiver plugs proudly displayed to the rear. Just coincidence? I think not! 'Something about them TDR boys... uh, and girls...
