I needed a new bearing for the fan pulley on my 92. Checked with mopar, $128 + tax and a 3 day wait. Cummins wanted $96, but is 90 miles away. I went in to my local CaseIH equipment dealer (7 miles), and did some checking. They took the cummins part number, dropped the first digit, added a J in its place, now it is a CaseIH number. The Magnum tractors used the 5. 9 engines. They had they part on hand, and it was $78, plus no sales tax on farm parts in MN.
I will be checking with them any time I need engine parts.
Hope this tip can save someone else some money too.
