Do You Mine Your Face for Moon Rocks?

I know what happened - I took video and drove the truck.

I've posted a teaser frame grab from a point in time just prior to the fun... :)

Vote now and I'll post a link with the final edited video in a few days.

Link to teaser vid from Part I of the barn teardown process. Notice the high-pitch roof section in this video - this is the roof that is the focus of this thread.

Word to the wise - don't boost launch to tear down stuff. You'll break the chain too easily. (Use a minimum of 3/8" chain - 5/16" is a joke. ) It'll come down much better if you walk it out and just idle the truck in low-range... Boost launching it is much more fun, though. :-laf

At first I thought it was an old episode of Benny Hill! Then there were no scantily clad British chicks... and some dude waddling around made me lose interest...

Love that music man! But that shed kicked your behind!

But seriously, Great video! You got me laughing, another great thing about the TDR.

I once tried to pull down a small shed on a lot I had bought. It had 4x4 framing, et al. I removed a whole bunch of stuff and figured the mighty Cummins would pull it over. Hah! Fat chance! Had a logging chain tied around a 4x4 up high, then pulled, but the shed wouldn't budge. So I backed up a few inches and got a short running start. An 8 inch length of the 4x4 where the chain was attached was almost surgically removed; at least the Dodge was stronger than the shear strength of the 4x4! I gave up after that and cut the 4x4s near the bottom. *Then* the shed came down. And an ether blow torch quickly dispatched the colonies of carpenter ants that had taken up residence inside the warm, moist, leaky former shed. Ignite the starting fluid while spraying it. But don't try this at home unless you are a *true* pyromaniac!

YES! That video would be awesome with "wacky sax" playing in the background and people running around.

So what do the 6 of us who voted "it remained standing" win?

Duly noted. :)

I'll buy you a beer the next (first) time I see (meet) yous guys.

Excavator? Bah. Humbug. Burning it would have been the easiest of all, but you can't use the Dodge with that method and we have a 1000-gallon (water capacity) propane tank about 100' from the shed I tore down.
