surfing around and came across this. it shows/tells how cummins is using the cooled egr and vgt in their isx engine. i am still not sold on the egr crappola but seeing how the holset variable geometry turbo works in the animation has me wanting one of those for the 04 when i start tweaking it [after i get it and have it paid off though... ]

On the same site, it says the VGT has an "Integrated exhaust brake" (built in function) on engines over 245 HP.

I still refuse to get an EGR diesel. The whole concept bothers me. Remember how awful gassers were when they first got EGR? I have nightmares of the same thing happening to our beloved diesels.
