What kind of connection is that on your truck? I hope you didn't just loop a chain around your ball hitch. It is hard to tell from the pic. You got a clevis attachment?
Very impressive. Okay, maybe the Cummins had the horses to do the work, what about the chassis and the receiver? What about the chain, what strength is it? Pulling 41K lbs, somethings got to give!
Reciever is a 20. 000 lbs rated and the chain I am not sure. Its a recovery chain I bought with my 12000lbs winch.
Thank god nothing gave... ... . I have ripped too many straps doing some winching... ... ... lol.
If he weighed 41k, it could be he just had an empty reefer. Those trailers are pretty heavy with all of the insulation. I know some guys that weigh 45k EMPTY. Shouldn't have pulled to awful hard.
I've pulled a 32k rig with a blown turbo (rolling, not stuck) with a 5/16" high test transport chain.
I love these types of posts!Oo. Anyway, this was my pull about 8 mos ago, I posted it. Anyway you get the idea, pulled her real slow and easy in 4-Lo and walked the Semi right out of the mud with no problems other than stretching the you know what out of my strap and bending my lock pin in the reciever had to have a buddy torch it out
