The NSN says that the earliest contract for these engines was 04/2002 and the latest was 2003. It's for a armored vehicle.



The only thing I can think of that uses the Cummins is an M-2 or M-3 Bradley. They use the 24 valve/P-pumped B series, from what I hear. I'll have to look into it.
 
Bradley

The Bradley was built in San Jose by FMC, never used a Cummins. It was a V8 as I recall. That would make it a Detroit or GM.
 
I work at a Naval Installation and had supply look up the NSN. It didn't say a whole lot. But the weight of the thing is 4370 lbs. That's pretty friggin' heavy. Keep in mind the container probably weighs in at anywhere from 500 to 1000 lbs.
